Description

The Kentucky Derby is more than just a horse race, it's the event of the year! View the Kentucky Derby on large screens while you enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a complimentary sparkling beverage, live and silent auctions, race "betting", cigar bar, no-host bar, live music and tons of southern hospitality! Oh, and we wouldn't dare forget a Derby staple, the Mint Julep!

Just like at Churchill Downs, fancy hats and bow ties are part of the tradition and spectacle at Foodlink's Kentucky Derby Party. Whether your hat or bow tie is race horse themed or high fashion, be sure to come prepared to show it off in our contest!

*Ticket value includes $30 food, beverage & entertainment, and a $30 donation to Foodlink for Tulare County, Inc. On May 6th tickets will increase to $75 at the door.*

Organized by

FoodLink for Tulare County is a non-profit food bank that has been a local, trusted, and vital safety net resource for Tulare County since 1978.

We believe that all Tulare County residents should have the opportunity to make the choices that allow them to live a long, healthy life, regardless of their income, education or ethnic background. We want to transform chronic challenges in our community – hunger, malnourishment, disease and obesity – into positive sustainable solutions. This leap forward in health will be achieved with two ingredients food and educational skills. Together these elements create what we call food literacy, or knowing the impact of food-related choices on health and community. By promoting self-sufficiency through budgeting, shopping, cooking and using food responsibly, we can transform our community’s relationship to food from one of scarcity to one of prosperous health and abundant nourishment for all of Tulare County. To meet these goals, we are dedicated to upholding nutrition policies and standards that provide healthy food and nutrition education for Tulare county residents.
